Where ‘Marble Sunburst’ came from…

Why do I have the moniker Marble Sunburst?

When I was a little girl my wonderful grandma introduced me to the Anne of Green Gables film trilogy – I have been enthralled ever since.

Mini summary
Protagonist Anne and her beau Gilbert have what can only be described as a tumultuous relationship to begin with. To prevent spoilers I’ll skip straight to the second movie.

Anne and Gilbert finally decide to marry.
Gilbert talks about all the things he would love to give Anne in life if it weren’t for him studying at medical school. Anne replies, “I don’t want diamond sunbursts, or marble halls. I just want you.”

How beautiful is that line?
It has stuck with me ever since I first heard it.
When it came to the birth of twitter, and the increasing use of handles on social media, I had to think of something specific to me.
So I picked two of the main words from my favourite quote.

It now runs through my social media platforms in beautiful continuity in homage to the red-headed Anne with an ‘E’ and incorrigible Gilbert Blythe.

What’s your favourite line from a film?
Any films someone special introduced you to that you love?
